What’s next for star Caitlin Clark after the Fever’s season ends in WNBA semifinals?

LAS VEGAS — With the Indiana Fever season coming to an end after pushing the Las Vegas Aces to overtime in a Game 5 loss in which it lost its two stars, one of the league’s superstars will foray into her second offseason since joining the WNBA.

Caitlin Clark, the 2024 No. 1 pick and first-team All-WNBA member, was limited to 13 games this season because of various injuries, including left quad, left groin, right groin and a left ankle bone bruise.

She hadn’t played since July 15, when she suffered the right groin injury that ultimately put her out for the season. She averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5 rebounds in 13 games.

So, what will Clark be doing this offseason?

Clark hasn’t specified her specific plans or if they include playing in any offseason leagues. She didn’t play in any offseason leagues following her rookie season, instead opting to do individual workouts with player development coach Keith Porter.

She also delivered multiple keynote addresses for various conferences, including at the Massachusetts Conference for Women, Pennsylvania’s annual Women in Business Conference and WIN for KC conference.

This offseason, Clark has one public speaking engagement already booked at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists conference in December.

She will likely continue her individual workouts, working back to 100% after her injuries this season. She has already been doing some shooting, including during the Fever’s shootaround ahead of Game 5 on Tuesday.

The Fever are confident that Clark, despite being out most of this season, will be healthy for 2026. Clark will enter the third year of her four-year rookie contract next season.
