No. 2 Tennessee (5-0-1) tied No. 14 Memphis (5-0-1), 0-0, on Thursday at Billy J. Murphy Track and Soccer Stadium in Memphis, Tennessee.
Thursday’s match represented a sixth shutout during the 2025 season for the Lady Vols. Tennessee has not conceded a goal this season.
Tennessee is 2-0-1 in 2025 against top-15 opponents. The Lady Vols’ shutout against Memphis is the fifth against a top-15 opponent since Joe Kirt was named head coach. It also marks the first time Memphis has not scored in a match this season.
Tennessee sophomore goalkeeper Cayden Norris made five saves in the match as Memphis outshot the Lady Vols, 14-10, in the match. Five of the Tigers’ scoring chances were on goal, while three shots by Tennessee were on target. Memphis recorded seven shots in the first half, while Tennessee had three.
Each team earned six corner kicks.
Tennessee will next play Sunday versus Georgia Southern. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. EDT at Regal Soccer Complex.
